Check - The Monnat Lab is located in the Departments of Pathology and Genome Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. Our research is focused on three interrelated areas: human RECQ helicase deficiency syndromes such as Werner syndrome and the role of RECQ helicases in cancer; high resolution analyses of DNA replication dynamics; and genome engineering enabled by the design or engineering of highly site-specific homing endonuclease proteins.
